Olympic gold medal for Mireia Belmonte
Mireia Belmonte aimed her first Olympic gold medal. The swimmer of the High Performance Center of Sant Cugat (CAR in catalan) has won the swimmers from Australia and Japan this early morning in the aquatic center of Rio and has hung the gold medal in the 200m butterfly competition.
This is the second medal at the Olympics in Rio of Belmonte. The first bronze medal was achieved on the first day of competition in the 400 meters medley competition. With this gold, she add to her medal collection a total of four Olympic medals.
