CAR launches new climbing facility

The CAR opened last week a new sports facility for the practice of climbing.

The new climbing wall, in which the group of the coach of the Spanish Federation of mountain sports and climbing, David Macià, has already started training, consists of three walls to train the modalities of speed and difficulty.

This new facility allows athletes to do their training without having to travel outside the Center, in addition to not having to share walls with other users.

As the climber Erik Noya explained, this climbing wall “is a radical change, not having to move allows you to make more use of your time, and we have a more competitive and less commercial format”. Olympic champion Alberto Ginés has also shown his satisfaction, since now “it will be possible to train with more peace of mind and prepare better for competitions”.

The equipment consists of a folding boulder, which can vary the angle between 15 and 55 degrees with respect to the vertical, a speed boulder for sections and a third wall also intended for speed, all of them with a floor of foam safety mattresses.
