The Chinese synchronized swimming duet, stage at CAR
The Chinese synchronized swimming duet that will compete in the China Open Competition is doing a stage at the Centre to prepare for this championship to be held in China in April next year. They arrived in CAR on 25 November and leave Tuesday.
The two swimmers, Sun Wenyan and Li Xiaolu, were in the team that was silver gold medallist at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this year and in addition, Sun was also duet silver medallist in Rio.
This is the third time that chinese synchronized swimmers came to the Centre with the Chinese coach, Mayuko Fujiki, in order to train. The duET, along with the Chinese team, and was in Sant Cugat on spring, on their way to Olympic preparation.
Fujiki, who is responsible for the sport in China since 2015, consider THE CAR the world’s best for the preparation of synchronized swimming, and she brings her swimmers to Sant Cugat whenever possible.
